    EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy intelligence software, has an immediate need for a Program Operations Associate to join our world-class Energy Markets organization. As an Program Operations Associate you will be responsible for the execution of the operational processes required to effectively deliver on our demand response commitments with utilities and ISOs (Independent System Operators) worldwide. Standard processes include: enrolling assets into demand response programs, settling our provider’s interval energy data with the utility or ISO, conducting the monthly and quarterly close activities with our internal accounting department, and providing internal customer support for our sales, operations, and finance teams. By efficiently and effectively executing on these responsibilities you will support the company in delivering a top notch demand response product to our commercial, industrial, and utility customers.
    The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, problem solving capabilities, and an eagerness to learn!


    - BA/BS degree with a technical, analytical, or financial focus
    - Excellent written and spoken (English) communication skills
    - Excellent computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Office
    - Excellent quantitative and logic-based problem-solving skills
    - Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to balance conflicting priorities effectively
    - Ability to manage high-throughput transactional activity calmly and effectively
    - Ability to work independently and in a team-driven environment
    - Ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment and successfully manage high stress situations
    - Attention to detail and an inquisitive nature
    - Demonstrates adaptability and the desire to continually learn and challenge oneself
    - Self-starter with the ability to identify important tasks and take the initiative to drive them to resolution with little oversight
    Desired Qualifications:
    - 1 – 2 years of experience working in an operationally oriented team environment
    - Demonstrated interest or experience in energy management, data analytics, power generation, or related technologies
    - Experience in: business operations, Salesforce.com, Process Improvement and Controls, Project Management, and mentoring teammates and colleagues
    - Knowledge of statistics, computer science and programming, or other analytical discipline and relevant tools (R, MATLAB, Pyton, etc)
    - Strong customer relations and communication skills


    Enroll assets into utility and ISO demand response programs:
    - Collect customer specific usage, bill, and performance data, through direct interaction with customers and/or customer facing teams
    - Apply portfolio specific nomination strategies on an asset-by-asset level
    - Evaluate risk and adjust provider commitments based on internal and external feedback and requests
    - Submit enrollment materials to utility/ISOs for final confirmation
    Settle interval usage data in various demand response programs
    - Analyze data to identify and mitigate data quality issues
    - Leverage performance tools and knowledge of program rules to calculate performance for demand response events
    - Organize and submit all relevant data for end use providers adhering to program deadlines
    Assist with monthly and quarter close financial activities
    - Calculate revenue, penalty, and provider payment values resulting from demand response participation in the preceding month, or quarter
    - Update and verify the accuracy of our provider payment and utility invoice records to ensure correct transactions
    Support additional operational functions to facilitate successful program delivery
    - Ensure that we adhere to utility and ISO compliance requirements by managing recurring program specific reporting and/or transactions
    - Apply acquired expertise to support internal teams to facilitate operational transactions
    - Perform and present in-depth analysis to help enable accurate business decisions and/or process improvements
    Develop a technical understanding of our tools and platforms
    - Gain an understanding of EnerNOC’s systems
    - Utilize available tools to fulfill responsibilities
    - Identify opportunities to improve operational activity through tool and process development
