    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Director of Commercial Construction to be the go-to resource for guidance and questions regarding commercial-scale project management and operations. Enel X is seeking applicants inspired by owning a key role in commercializing EVSE projects – including establishing best practices, managing partners, and overseeing the entire physical asset lifecycle (detailed construction, material and resource plan, securing and coordinating the site work from inception to commissioning and ensuring PTO).
    - Collaborate with regional offices to implement systems and tools and document policy, procedures, and best practices to improve commercial operations
    - Identify  training needs and create and deliver training for regional staff to develop capacity and expertise in multifamily housing and commercial-scale EVSE applications
    - Manage all aspects of the project cycle including: project management (oversee budget and timelines), management of client, stakeholder, and contractor relationships, engineering and permitting, staffing and scheduling, and interconnection, incentives, and close-out processes
    - Perform analysis of procurement and cost actuals metrics and trends to support headquarters and regional budgeting and resource allocation and planning
    - Manage and supervise partners on  project development, cost estimation, design review, and other technical assistance
    Additional Responsibilities:
    - Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
    - Review the work progress on daily basis
    - Obtain permits and licenses
    - Competent in conflict and crisis management
    - Prepare Balance of System Bill of Materials
    - Identify the resources required to complete every step of the construction process (labor, equipment, tools)
    - Able to “walk” the project in the planning phase and capture near 100% of all expected tasks and materials required
    - Budgeting: Estimate man hours of work (above 90% accuracy is expected)
    - Able to effectively communicate change orders
    - Able to see around the corner (identify potential risks to the project and create mitigations)
    - Follow procedures, and in some cases author them as part of your normal work functions
    - Maintains adherence to Enel X policies, quality, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices
    - Identifies and corrects gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks and provides recommendations to management

    Qualifications

    - 10+ years experience in commercial solar construction or operations in a management role
    - 5+ years experience in project management of commercial-scale solar or energy storage projects
    - Experience managing vendors and negotiating contracts
    - Excellent and professional communication skills
    - Excellent leadership skills, ability to build a positive work environment within a team and in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment
    - Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    - Experience with MS Project or other project/construction management platforms
    - Experience with Salesforce.com CRM database systems
    - Self-starter – extremely motivated, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
