    We have an amazing opportunity here at Enel X for a bright and collaborative force-multiplier to join our team changing the way the world uses energy. The Systems and Analytics team, which sits within the Energy Markets group, contributes to Enel X’s mission by building scalable tools supporting Demand Response (DR) and Distributed Energy Resource (DER) customer qualification, performance evaluation, financial reporting, risk management, and energy market strategy, as well as by performing strategic analyses. An ideal candidate for this role loves advanced energy technologies, identifying new market opportunities, problem solving, process design, and leveraging insights from data to improve the way a business operates.
    In this role you will work closely with internal stakeholders, understanding their challenges and developing technical, process-oriented solutions. You will be expected to lead projects through design, development, testing, and delivery. You will also be expected to lead strategic analytical projects, clearly communicating a story with data and recommending decisions or changes to our business processes. 
    As a Systems & Analytics Analyst you will also become an expert with the world’s largest DR data set. You will work closely with stakeholders to learn about all aspects of DR and DER delivery, and you will have the opportunity to explore and analyze trends relating to both DR and DERs such as battery storage systems and EV charging infrastructure.


    - Design and develop scalable tools in R and python to expand and streamline our operations
    - Design and develop Shiny-based UIs for exploring and manipulating data
    - Design and develop tools, models, and algorithms to improve our energy market strategy and decision-making processes
    - Scope, develop, and present to internal stakeholders on analytical projects
    - Work with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, integrate new programs / market changes into our systems, and transition analytical tools into Enel X’s platform
    - Identify, prototype, and implement new DR and DER revenue-driving initiatives
    - Build and maintain a shared code repository and technology stack
    - Research and recommend new technologies to improve our toolkit


    - A passion for the energy industry and advanced energy technologies (DR, solar, storage, EVs, etc.)
    - Demonstrated ability to solve problems and design new processes
    - Demonstrated ability to work with and derive insights from large amounts of data
    - High attention to detail and an inquisitive nature
    - BA/BS a quantitative/analytical field (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, etc.)
    - In-depth understanding of object oriented programming (R, Python, MATLAB, etc.)
    - Familiarity with database languages (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
    - Familiarity with user interface design (Shiny, Flask, JQuery, etc.)
    - Excellent time management skills and ability to balance conflicting priorities
    - Excellent oral and written communication skills
    - Demonstrated ability to both collaboratively and independently complete projects
    - Self-motivation and ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment
    - 2+ years of experience in energy, data analytics, engineering, or similar industry with a quantitative focus
    - Advanced degree in a quantitative/analytical field (Data Science, Analytics, etc.)
    - In-depth understanding of electricity markets and advanced energy technologies
    - Working knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts
    - Experience leading/managing technical teams
    - Experience with process improvement and project management (e.g Agile Development)
    - Experience working with Salesforce and Salesforce APIs
    - Experience with full-stack development
